You can get preventive, walk-in and same day sick visits in Silverton at the Miner's Union Hospital through High Country Remote Care. High Country Remote Care accepts most major insurance plans and Medicaid, Medicare and CHP+ and offers a sliding scale payment option for self-pay. They won't turn anyone away. Check with them for full details.

La Plata County Public Health provides insurance enrollment help, including for OmniSalud. Their website provides information on enrollment dates, programs and services.

Southwest Rides offers door-to-door transportation for individuals in San Juan County who have Medicaid. Call 970-946-0232 to schedule.

The Silverton Grocery Store and the Silverton Farmer's Market both accept SNAP/EBT. Visit San Juan County Social Services to apply for SNAP.

The Care and Share Mobile Market usually comes to Silverton once a month in May-September. Dates will be announced on Facebook and posted in town.

Housing Solutions for the Southwest offers a variety of housing programs and support.

Silverton Housing Authority offers a resources page for rental and homeownership support including information and classes in Spanish.

Are you facing a financial crisis? You can apply for emergency financial assistance through the Community Emergency Assistance Coalition (CEAC). Appointments are required. Please call 970-259-1086 Mon-Thurs between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to set up an appointment. For more information, visit the CEAC website.

Town of Silverton: You can sign up for an English/Spanish newsletter for an update on town issues - scroll down to view in Spanish and click top left corner to subscribe. You can stream all Town public meetings on youtube with Spanish subtitles. The Town is committed to offering simultaneous interpretation at select Town meetings. Please see event fliers or the Town Facebook page or website for more details. Town Clerk, Melina Marks also speaks Spanish. 

Silverton Housing Authority: offers education and affordable homeownership opportunities including information and classes in Spanish. Residency requirements vary by project. Visit their website or contact Housing Director Anne Chase (speaks Spanish), for more information. 

San Juan Development Association: San Juan Development Association offers economic development support, a list of local contractors, and micro-loans for small business in San Juan County. View their website in Spanish for more information. 

CONSTRUYENDO: Construyendo is an organization in Durango that supports resilience practices through ancestral methods of healing, professional massage therapy, herbalism, acupuncture, yoga therapy, zumba for people with different conditions, workshops with Latinx mental health professionals; among other services related to health and wellness.
