The ability to get the food you need for your family impacts your health and health outcomes. San Juan County Public Health is supporting several projects related to food security for San Juan County residents.
Community Food Pantry
Take what you need, leave what you don't
The Silverton Public Library hosts a community food pantry with fresh, frozen and pantry items available. No income qualifications. All are welcome.
Food Resources
Enroll in SNAP/EBT
Apply online or with paper applications located on the table outside the Social Services office in the Courthouse. Contact Krissy Rhoades with San Juan County Social Services or visit the Colorado PEAK Website for more information.

Women, Infants and Children
WIC is for all kinds of families: married and single parents, working or not working. If you're a father, mother, grandparent, foster parent or other legal guardian of a child under 5, you can apply for WIC. Enroll in WIC through La Plata County Public Health.
Mobile Market
San Juan County Public Health and Silverton School sponsor the Care and Share Mobile Market monthly from April-October. Check our calendar, Facebook, or fliers around town for the latest dates.
